Urban Cheer UK collects only such personal information as is necessary to operate our core business, which is to organise, run and support dance events in Yorkshire and the north of England.
If you are a customer of Urban Cheer UK, we collect and store personal information provided by you when you interact with our website. This includes your name, address, email address and the name of your dance school or dance squad.
In addition, where you choose to become a member of our website, your customer login address and password is collected (see following paragraphs). Our website has been created using Wix.com, which provides us with an online platform that allows us to promote and sell dance teaching resources and dance event services. Should you choose to order these, Wix.com will collect and store your customer account and payment details including your payment card information should you wish to purchase via this method.
Your password and all other personal information is held within Wix.com’s data storage databases and their applications, which are not accessible by Urban Cheer UK personnel. Wix.com stores your data on secure servers behind a firewall.
Where you choose to make website purchases from us, all direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by Urban Cheer UK adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. When you sign up to become a site member we collect your login address (your email address) and password. Wix.com stores these securely on our behalf and only your login address is visible to us.
When you register to compete at our events, we collect your name, the name of your dance school and the likely number of attendees in your party and Wix.com stores this. In the run up to our events we collect the name, age and ability level of your competitors by email and this is stored securely offline for a short fixed period until after the event.
When you join one of our paid-for Teaching Zones we collect your payment details (via Wix.com) or transfer you to an external payment gateway – usually PayPal.
When you order competition entry tickets and/or merchandise we collect your payment details (via Wix.com) or transfer you to an external payment gateway – usually PayPal.
As set out above, Urban Cheer UK collects only the minimum level of personal information as is necessary to organise, run and support our dance events.
Your personal information will be used solely for these specific reasons.
Again, as set out above, Urban Cheer UK utilises a Wix.com website to interact with you. Your personal information is held within Wix.com’s data storage databases and applications. Wix.com stores your data on secure servers behind a firewall. We believe that the privacy and security of your personal information is best assured through our use of a globally recognised website provider, investing constantly in its data security infrastructure.
The personal information of dance event competitors is collected offline for a short period. This is stored on a virus and password protected personal computer and is securely deleted following each Urban Cheer UK event.
Our primary method of communication with you will be online either by direct email or through automated interaction via Wix.com. On occasion, usually in response to your requests, we may consider it best to contact you by mobile phone in order to deliver a faster or more comprehensive solution.
We will NOT contact you by mobile phone to promote our paid-for services.
We will NOT pass your personal information to any third party for any reason.
